Hi everyone!

First: I do not speak Italian but with a “little” help of Google translation I can still understand most of what is written in here! :-)

I also collect toys that I for some reason remember from my childhood.
A pair of Lone Ranger and Matchbox Fighting Furies have also crept into my Big Jim “collection”.

I might not be a terribly active member on this forum but I feel really happy to (finally) be a member of this fantastic site.

My collection of Big Jim toys (so far..)

Serious (?) start collecting: 2008-2009
Ambition of my collection: I choose to focus on things I remember from my childhood. Nostalgia is very important to me ;-)
Childhood Memory with BJ-toys: We used to play everywhere, in our garden, in rivers, in snow and in stairwells. (Lone Ranger and Action Man/Team was also represented) We always had lots of fun!
Collecting in 10 years: More fun stuff..!
My collector's motto: Collect things you really like!
Other collection: Vintage Star Wars, plastic soldiers (Airfix 70s).
First Figure: Big Jim “Agent Blue” bought in Malmö back in 1978/79.

Best Deal: Lose Big Jim figure with Yellow/Red pants with almost complete Red Pirate dress for about 25 Swedish Kronor (about 2-3 Euro).

IKEA is cheap and easy to build!


I do not see my LPs like a real collection, it is mostly a relic that I can not separate myself from.
Anyway, they're fun to watch and smell (!) And sometimes listen to, but takes a lot of valuable space...

Star Wars toys is what I mostly focus on.
I played as much with Star Wars as the Big Jim & Co. when I was a kid.
Great with more collectors who appreciate these old toys!!

Next year I'll try to make a comeback to my Bj collecting!
I've been busy with job, my house and my family.

I have for 10 years used the Webshots homepage to show pictures on various forums and store my photos of the collection.
Now Webshots (websh * ts) decided to close their business
The result; all my pictures are gone!!
Luckily I have everything saved on my PC.
But everything must be manually put back on the forums and that is no fun at all!!

Also i started a Swedish blog with old toys.
(Not much in there yet but some Big Jim Toys if you like that kind of stuff).
The aim is that these amazing toys should not be forgotten.
Maybe I can also get in contact with other Swedish Big Jim collectors ..?
